Telge Elnät – Process Development to Support Day-to-Day Operations

  • Lästid: 2 minuter

In 2025, Telge Elnät faced a large number of connection requests, and with many new employees, it became clear that there was a need for common working methods and processes that would create efficiency and ensure quality in the work. Connection & Sales was in a situation where processes, routines and documentation existed, but were scattered, difficult to overview, sometimes dependent on individuals and, in some cases, outdated. In order to create better conditions in everyday life, the structure needed to be consolidated and made understandable for everyone.

Mapping of the Current State and Process Flows

Against this background, Sigholm was commissioned to lead a development project focusing on process development and organisation. The work was based on lean methods and began with creating a common understanding of the current situation. Through process mapping of the new connection process and related sub-processes, flows, activities and handovers that had previously been handled differently depending on experience and role were made visible.

In parallel with the mapping, close collaboration with the business was conducted through workshops and work meetings with broad involvement. This created space for dialogue about working methods, concepts and responsibilities, while routines, templates and quick reference guides were gradually updated and standardised. Principles for how information should be structured, stored and managed were developed to provide long-term clarity.

Results: A More Robust and Cohesive Approach

The project resulted in a more cohesive approach, where processes and support materials are linked and easier to use in practice. The conditions for standardised work were strengthened, dependence on personal knowledge was reduced, and the quality of daily work became less vulnerable to change.

The assignment was concluded with a handover to a new employee responsible for continued process development and ongoing improvements, which creates a good foundation for continuity and ownership for the next step in the work.

"I am very pleased with the results delivered by Sigholm. There is now clear ownership of the parts of the process, and we are now working in a uniform manner that ultimately benefits not only us employees but also our customers."

- Unit Manager, Telge Elnät
