Fortum är en av de största elhandlarna i Norden med 2,4 miljoner kunder totalt. De har 45 TWh i produktion i portföljen vilket gör att de har flera verktyg i lådan för att skapa rätt avtal på marknaden för sina kunder. Fortums chef för portföljen, Mats Persson, har lång erfarenhet av Europas energimarknader och beskriver hur de nu är stadda i stor förändring i och med omställningen. Som alltid i Energistrategipodden går vi rakt på sak och problematiserar hur olika delar av marknaden påverkas av omvärlden. Det handlar om PPA-marknaden som är den bilaterala handeln med el, Terminsmarknaden (tidigare kallad Nasdaq) där man genom clearinghuset gör långsiktiga elhandelsavtal, Nordpool eller "dagen före"-marknaden och sedan intradag-marknad samt balansmarknad. Fortum driver nu på för tillväxt på en marknad där förmågan att hantera obalanser blir allt viktigare.
